Sharing Your Knowledge
This is the season for giving. Sharing your knowledge is the best way to get people moving in your direction. It's important to show people how to make their dreams come to reality. When working with new people you should dream with them.
What do you want?
Find out why they want to be in business for themselves. What would they want to do with the extra money. You may find that some people don't want to quit there job because they enjoy what they are doing or maybe they would go from full time in their job to a part time position.
Does your prospect want to travel or spend time following their favorite team. What about a new car or a new house, add a swimming pool or hot tub, eat fancy foods or buy a restaurant, buy new clothes or new camping gear. Make sure you find out what they would do besides spending money. Volunteer more or give back to the school, donate to charity or start a grant. So, find out their real why.
Training
Take the next 48 hrs. and help your new downline sponsor 3 to 6 people immediately. This will give them the motivation to keep going when their friends and family try to talk them out of it.
Do your part. The hardest part is starting. You need to get a profile up on Facebook and Myspace as well as Twitter. Using social media sites will generate leads for your business. Keep adding content to these sites. Start a blog letting people know about your experience with your business. Help others to set up their own social media programs.

Holidays

Down Economy, Time for a Plan B?
I have watch several people lose their jobs this past month. I have never been through anything like this before. People really don't have a backup plan. You know, a Plan B! You have to realize that unless you own the business, you could be let go. There is no security in a recession. Employers have to do what they have to do to stay in business. You may think your job and contribution is real important but if anyone else knows how to do what you do then their is no real security.
I was a opperations manager for a warehouse. I was one out of 100 operations managers company wide. I always had to watch my back. If your manager can't sleep at night because of one mistake you may be gone. Especially if you have been there for a long, long time. I knew that the company could hire someone else to do my job at at least half the salary I was making. Instead of just saying oh well I made a change. I had a plan B and you need one too. 48 hrs. to success!
I've been thinking about people who will not take the next step. If that is you then let's talk about this. Most people who try do direct sales fail because they think it is so hard. I found that if you will work hard for just a short period of time then you will get off to a fast start. In fact the first 48 hours are very crucial to the success of your business. If you have been at it for a while, its ok just make the next 48 hours like it was your first. Try this! Make a list of 20 names of people you know. Out of that pick 10 that you think will want to do this. Call everyone on your top 10 first in the next 24 hours. Next call the rest. You should able to get the 3-6 people you are looking for. Action creates motivation. Not the other way around. Don't stop until you have reached your goal. If you have exhausted your list. Add 10 more names. Keep your head down and don't even look up until you reach your goal. Give to Get
I heard Zig Zigler say it first. To get what you want you have to help enough other people get what they want.
Are you giving? Are you helping others get what they want? If not, you are not having a successful business. I am amazed at what happend when I realized that I wasn't giving to others, I was more of a taker. I would get something from someone and keep it along with everything else that I was given. This is pridefull. When I began to swallow my pride and give back then people started to listen. When you are given something give something back. If you get new clothes, get rid of some of your old clothes. Donate it to the local thrift store or hand it down to someone who could use it. Don't throw it away.
When you put this into practice you'll find that you will receive or attract other things. Like the law of attraction you must give to get. This is something you can test right now. Go find something that has some value and donate it or give it away and then see what happens. Sometimes it could take just a day or two and other times it may take longer but it always happens. If someone wants to give you something go ahead and take it but remember to give something back then something else will come to you.
This is the same with money. Buy a book, read it and do what it says. When you are done with it put it back out there. Give it to someone or donate it and you will get something else in its place. If you just put it on the shelf then you are being pridefull. Give it away and you might be shocked at what comes back.

- Do not give your presentation, your products or service or your business opportunity.
- Give hope, give life style, give experience, give friendship.
- Take people dreaming! Take people to a knew home or to test drive a car or take them to a sport event. Help people dream again. People get in a rut and forget that there is life outside of work and home. Take them fishing or go to shopping mall and look at new clothes or furniture. Maybe someone loves to play the piano and would like a grand piano.
- Find their reason for living. What is their purpose in life. Some people would love to spend more time doing charity or temple work or be a missionary. Some people would like to travel to a new place every month. Some people would like to spend more time with family. These things are the gut wrenching stuff that you can come back to when they decide that they are ready to quit so find out their purpose in life.
- Give, give, give. Don't sell, sell, sell.
When someone gives you a signal that sounds like I have to find a way too.... This is your in. Don't sell them your presentaion that comes later. Let them know that you know a way. When they ask you "What is it?" Don't sell them anything. Tell them its hope, its fun, its exciting, its joy, its rewarding, its a great way to invest a little bit of time, its more family time, its stress reduction, its friendship. By this time your friend should be begging you to know what it is.
