Give to Get

I heard Zig Zigler say it first. To get what you want you have to help enough other people get what they want.

Are you giving? Are you helping others get what they want? If not, you are not having a successful business. I am amazed at what happend when I realized that I wasn't giving to others, I was more of a taker. I would get something from someone and keep it along with everything else that I was given. This is pridefull. When I began to swallow my pride and give back then people started to listen. When you are given something give something back. If you get new clothes, get rid of some of your old clothes. Donate it to the local thrift store or hand it down to someone who could use it. Don't throw it away.

When you put this into practice you'll find that you will receive or attract other things. Like the law of attraction you must give to get. This is something you can test right now. Go find something that has some value and donate it or give it away and then see what happens. Sometimes it could take just a day or two and other times it may take longer but it always happens. If someone wants to give you something go ahead and take it but remember to give something back then something else will come to you.

This is the same with money. Buy a book, read it and do what it says. When you are done with it put it back out there. Give it to someone or donate it and you will get something else in its place. If you just put it on the shelf then you are being pridefull. Give it away and you might be shocked at what comes back.

So how does this relate to your business? Let me tell you and this is step by step.

1. Do not give your presentation, your products or service or your business opportunity.
2. Give hope, give life style, give experience, give friendship.
3. Take people dreaming! Take people to a knew home or to test drive a car or take them to a sport event. Help people dream again. People get in a rut and forget that there is life outside of work and home. Take them fishing or go to shopping mall and look at new clothes or furniture. Maybe someone loves to play the piano and would like a grand piano.
   
4. Find their reason for living. What is their purpose in life. Some people would love to spend more time doing charity or temple work or be a missionary. Some people would like to travel to a new place every month. Some people would like to spend more time with family. These things are the gut wrenching stuff that you can come back to when they decide that they are ready to quit so find out their purpose in life.
5. Give, give, give. Don't sell, sell, sell.

When someone gives you a signal that sounds like I have to find a way too.... This is your in. Don't sell them your presentaion that comes later. Let them know that you know a way. When they ask you "What is it?" Don't sell them anything. Tell them its hope, its fun, its exciting, its joy, its rewarding, its a great way to invest a little bit of time, its more family time, its stress reduction, its friendship. By this time your friend should be begging you to know what it is.
