Down Economy, Time for a Plan B?

I have watch several people lose their jobs this past month. I have never been through anything like this before. People really don't have a backup plan. You know, a Plan B! You have to realize that unless you own the business, you could be let go. There is no security in a recession. Employers have to do what they have to do to stay in business. You may think your job and contribution is real important but if anyone else knows how to do what you do then their is no real security.

I was a opperations manager for a warehouse. I was one out of 100 operations managers company wide. I always had to watch my back. If your manager can't sleep at night because of one mistake you may be gone. Especially if you have been there for a long, long time. I knew that the company could hire someone else to do my job at at least half the salary I was making. Instead of just saying oh well I made a change. I had a plan B and you need one too.
